Join in a day of prayer
Faith leaders from across Britain and Ireland have been encouraged to let their various communities know that Thursday, May 14th, is being identified as a day for all believers, of different traditions, to focus on the present COVID19 crisis, its victims and all who work to relieve their suffering and need.
Depending on the particular tradition of those participating, the souls of those whose lives the virus has taken may also be commended in whatever way is felt appropriate. It is suggested that people of faith pray, fast or undertake works of charity and generosity.
Thanking those responsible for this initiative, the Archbishop of Wales, John Davies, wishes to draw it to the attention of all and he warmly commends it.
