Making a Joyful Noise in Pen y Bont ar Ogwr Ministry Area

Five schools from across Bridgend gathered together in St Mary’s, Nolton for a celebration of Welsh language and culture at a diocesan Gymanfa Ganu organised by Clare Werrett, our Diocesan Head of Education.
The joyful event featured pupils from Archdeacon John Lewis CinW Primary, Pen y Fai CinW Primary School, Llangewydd Junior School, Coychurch Primary School and Trelales Primary School. Canon Graham Holcombe played the organ beautifully with Clare leading the singing.
The hymns featured included Calon Lan, Pwy Wnaeth y Sêr Uwchben? and Abba, fe’th Addolwn.
Georgia, Matilda and Darcey, an incredibly talented trio from Trelales, gave amazing renditions of Sosban Fach and International Velvet on their guitars.
Huge thanks to Rev Mark Broadway and the volunteers from The Ministry Area Of Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr for the warm welcome.
