Notice of a meeting of the Sacred Synod
On 19 September 2019 the Electoral College of the Church in Wales elected the Venerable Cherry Elizabeth Vann, currently Archdeacon of Rochdale in the Diocese of Manchester and Province of York, as Bishop of Monmouth.
The Constitution of the Church in Wales requires all episcopal elections to be confirmed by the serving diocesan bishops meeting in Sacred Synod, and notice is given that the bishops will meet in Sacred Synod to confirm the election of Cherry Vann as Bishop of Monmouth at the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St John the Evangelist, Brecon, on Sunday 5 January 2020 at 3:30pm.
This will be a public meeting and, should any member of the Church in Wales wish to draw to the bishops' attention any matter in relation to this episcopal election, they are invited to attend the meeting in person.
The Most Reverend John Davies
Archbishop of Wales
