Open Day to explore ministry opportunities in Diocese of Bangor
The Diocese of Bangor is hosting a Ministry Open Day where ordained clergy and lay people can explore the exciting ministry opportunities available across the diocese.
The Ministry Open Day is an opportunity to hear more about the Diocese of Bangor’s vision and the ministry roles available. Clergy and lay people will hear from the Archbishop of Wales and Bishop of Bangor about life in the diocese and meet other people who are ministering across the diocese in a variety of roles. There will also be opportunities to visit churches and Ministry Areas to discover the unique history and bilingual culture of North West Wales.
Archdeacon of Bangor David Parry, who is organising the event, says, “Our Ministry Open Day is the first of its kind in the Church in Wales. We are delighted to be appointing to a number of diverse ordained and lay ministry roles thanks to our increased investment in ministry across the diocese."
“The Diocese of Bangor is a great place to serve and I warmly invite clergy and lay people from other dioceses to our open day to see all we have to offer.”
Canon David Morris, Director of Ministry, says, “We offer a diverse range of ministry roles for lay and ordained clerics. Whether you have a call to pioneer ministry, a heart for social justice, a desire to grow our ancient pilgrim ways, or you wish to share in the leadership of one of our Ministry Areas, then the Diocese of Bangor is for you.”
The Ministry Open Day takes place on Saturday 4 November 2023 from 10.30am - 4pm at The Management Centre Bangor, University of Bangor.
