Ascension Day

The risen Jesus appeared for 40 days prior to his Ascension. Ascension Day commemorates the Christian belief of the bodily Ascension of Jesus into heaven. Ascension Day is traditionally celebrated on a Thursday, the fortieth day of Easter.
